New Jim Broadbent Film

There is a new film about to be release with Jim Broadbent , the basic storyline is he goes out for a walk to post a letter and keeps going. It reminded me of something similar possibly in the 1970,s and set in the west country, I had a feeling Joss Ackland starred in it but cannot find anything on IMBD, anyone have any ideas what I might be thinking of? Thanks

The Broadbent film is based on a novel, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce (2012).

I remember the Joss Ackland show. It was on television.
The character he played had a diagnosis of cancer. He decided to walk the length of England and Scotland while he could.
