It's easier to speak one's mind outside of the jurisdiction of the power one is rightfully criticising. But given the Russian reputation for ignoring other nations' sovereignty when it comes to murdering individuals maybe it is thought healthier staying in Russia and criticising.

The sooner that evil regime goes, the better. But that goes for so many dictatorships around the world these days.
