The town I live in has consistently returned nothing but Liberal Democrat councillors in the 30+ years that I've been here. However, living in a rural area, with poor public transport links, I can see why a party that prioritises protecting the environment and getting people out of their cars (and onto improved public transport) is likely to gain support in many areas.

It's not hard to see why both the Greens and the Lib-Dems are hoping to turn some of those blue areas into either green or orange ones, as Labour hardly ever bother contesting seats around here.
