Can someone tell me why Boots are saying I can only buy this on prescription now? I use it as a mouthwash and an antiseptic. Thanks all.

Don't know why. We can buy it in supermarkets in Portugal Available from Amazon UK too
Back in the U.S. I was always able to buy it anywhere. I used it for cuts and scratches and zits. In the UK it seemed difficult to get hold of.
I'd like to buy it as I see it recommended for getting rid of plant pests.
You can buy 3% online from Amazon and online chemists.

I'm not sure about using it as a mouthwash. I've used it once in the past to get mildew off some clothing.
It's fine as a mouthwash and to gargle with if you've got a sore throat, usually diluted 1:3
I got some for cleaning mould but I don't think I'd put it in my mouth. Listerine is available.
I don't know, we used to buy it from the supermarkets in France and use it to keep ears clean - a drop a day dissolved excess wax, which OH was prone to. It was very cheap. Now I can only get in a proprietary brand with oil - & that costs 3 times as much.
Colgate Peroxyl has 1.5% hydrogen peroxide and is suitable for six year olds. Strangely enough it is currently available at Boots
