i'm having a stove fitted at the end of the month. not quite sure what i can and cant burn in it. i have some coal left over from when it was an open fire can i use some of that mixed with the logs? is it like an open fire where i can just chuck on anything? the websites seem a bit ambiguous about the dos and donts
Hi, in theory you can burn coal, but I wouldn't it will turn the glass black in no time, use Furnacite or anthracite, but be aware they make a lot of ash, I would stick to logs, they light quickly you leave a bed of ash in the bottom so less cleaning out and the heat output is fantastic, just make sure you don't burn wood that has been cut down in the last year the older the better, enjoy it, Ray
