Kuiper, hark my cry of reason and laying claim to BA. Posts >12.27 and >12.48 contain the same error; i.e., Side TP = side TS (TS = 2.TP) Wing that BA over here, be at peace with your inner self, conscience clear ;-)

>12.12 With 3 weeks to go before his GCSE exams my grandson is seeking model answers to the questions posted. He was predicted a grade 5/6 for maths but is going all out for a 9!!
Including past papers and teacher set questions he has about 500 questions. I think I've posted about 30 which have caused him difficulty. I think that's good going!!

Expanding the answer a little!
QP = QS (given) therefore triangle QSP = an isosceles triangle
Therefore angles QPS and QSP are equal (base angles of an isosceles triangle)
Therefore angles QPT and QSR are equal (straight line 180 degrees - angles QPS and QSP respectively)
Side TP = side TS (given)
Side SR = side PQ (given)
Therefore PTQ and PRS are congruent (2 sides Plus one angle)
