As i said above, Newmarket and Goodwood are two of my least favourite tracks, but, unfortunately, that's where 4 of this afternoons 6 'decent' handicap races come from, so while i've done the usual Lucky 15 and e.w. acca, i haven't done the usual win singles - except for the first horse in my bet, Lednikov, who won this race last year and is the only one of my '4' away from the two mentioned tracks.
What also prompted me to do a win single on it is the fact that Willy Hill have an 'Epic Boost' bet, any race, any horse, max stake £5 win single and, if it wins, you get double the price.
3.50 Muss; Lednikov @ 4/1 (£5 win @ 8/1 - WH)
4.20 Good; Lunarscape @ 13/2 - 4 places
4.55 Good; Champagne City @ 8/1 - 4 places
5.20 Ne'm; Longlai @ 6/1 - 4 places
20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £22, 4 winners = £3,043.
I always compare the prices of the horses with the 'firms' i regularly use and, for the first time in quite a while, Sky have bettered 365's prices for all 4 of my runners, so the entire bet is with them.
Yet, 365's price for Vitarli, 1.30 Good, is better than Sky's, so i have had a small win single @ 8/1.
ITV7; Vitarli, Victory Flagship, Time Lock, Majestic Pride*, Prop Forward*, Final Watch* and Global Storm. £1 e.w. acca.
* denotes Trixie/Treble for a poss £174.
Best of luck all.
