Good. Very near us they train Swiss pilots in low-level flying (not a lot of flat land in Switzerland) so I expect we'll get the Ukrainians as well after a while. Happy to put up with the noise. :)

I only found so far in Le Monde (Fr)
and BBC Russian.
Thus still depends on US consent, but I would suggest that that will follow shortly. I’d also say that training had already been ongoing and that those jets will not be long coming.

Costing well over a hundred million quid of taxpayers hard-earned moolah a time, they must only be given with the assurance that they are put in the hands of fully-trained pilots.

I want them to have them, but fighting with 'free' weapons is a desirable luxury for any country.

Well training is a part of it: they aren’t just handing over planes.
And they’ll all be castoffs: F-16s aren’t exactly state of the art.
Given the performance of Ukrainian pilots with what they already have I don’t think their ability to learn fast will be in doubt
