It appears that R4 has lost 1.2m listeners in 12 months.

I have never listened to R4, R2 sometimes but not for a few years so has it really changed that much so quickly?

I do listen to Boom, its very easy listening in the background without the inane chatter from the likes of Holden going on.

I know it CB (as I dont want it to be a political rant) but here's a link for some background https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12096309/BBC-Radio-4-seen-1-2million-people-stop-tuning-12-months-attempts-modernise.html

I used to listen to R2 in the car. I have always turned off when Jeremy Vine or Vanessa Feltz came on. Now it’s when Vernon starts as well, and I can’t bear Zoe Ball. So pretty much always off now. Never listened to R4.
Oh dear. My car radio is always tuned to Capital and such like. If not, it's devices with Taylor Swift, Arianna Grande etc. Teenage grandkids eh? Don't you just love 'em?!! :o)
