Current Strikes

Watching the news tonight I just started wondering. Do strikers get paid or can their families claim benefits? Life and budgeting at the moment is hard and losing money through strikes must make things harder. I am not looking to stir up any arguments for or against I am genuinely interested. I remember the strikes of the 60s when people had to rely on family and resort to soup kitchens

I thought the current strikers on the picket line claim they lose a days pay. I am talking NHS staff here.

I believe strikers no longer get strike pay, all the union cash going on champagne, flash cars and massive TVs these days for the head honchos.

It's true, I saw it on YouTube or summat.

They normally lose a day's pay.

I think that it can also impact on your work pension calculation, or it did in the civil service.

They must be well paid to keep taking days off.

Union leaders probably get paid.

Union leaders still get paid full salary and are able to still claim expenses.
