I'm guessing you dont have much experiecence with the sea or craft that sail on it. Boats and jetskis can cause an awful wake especially if some numb brain turns a sharp corner at the swimmers. Seen it happen many times.
Young kids hit by the wave would struggle if they were jumping of the pier, it is pretty deep there you know?
So lets wait and see what exactly the Police find out eh?

YMB, I have no experience with the sea or craft that sail on it.
I would imagine that being physically hit by a vessel is different from being hit by the wake from a vessel.
The police felt it important enough to include the, "physically hit" element in their statement and that is what I am going by, as opposed to supposition, at this point.
