leak or condensation in the loft
1 Answers
Hi folks was looking for the boys birth certificates in the loft last night... as you do... To my dismay I found longterm water damage on some old books. Seems its been dripping for a while but had only damaged the top books. Above the books is a valley in the roof where the back of the house meets the main roof. The roof was renewed 15 yrs ago, but the felt above the books has split and one can see the fibreglass or whatever that makes the gully between the rooves. i felt the felt and there were drops of water on it. However the gulley material was dry. Could this be just condensation dripping off from the split in the roofing felt? With all the rain we've had over the past two weeks I would 've thought there would have been more damage
Can I fix it by sealing the roofing felt with duck tape or is it likely to be more serious? Appreciate your thoughts Peter
