Kisses At 50 - Play For Today 1973

I watched this last night, I don't recall seeing it before. Great to see Bill Maynard playing a straight role in this very ordinary story of family strife.
I didn't recognise Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth from Corrie) until the end and it drove me mad trying to identify the actor playing Chris.
I recorded it earlier in the week from BBC4 but it should still be on iPlayer if you fancy a look.

Did you place John Comer who took the role of George? He was cafe owner Sid, husband of Ivy, in Last of the Summer Wine.
Many moons ago I saw Bill in Through the Keyhole with David Frost and Lloyd Grossman. His home was "nowt to write home about" but I well remember the episode. The 2 main clues were a pile of scruffy, down-trodden, dirty, large shoes, in the style of old trainers and a fridge bereft of any food but was stacked with bottles of champagne! The panel could not guess whose house it was.
