Outlook Will Not Connect With Server

I'm away at the moment. We have WiFi in our property and the internet works fine. But my e-mail (via MS Outlook) does not. It simply hangs at "Send/Receive" and no new messages are loaded, nor can any messages be sent.

Any ideas?

It looks like part of your "set up" is deciding that perhaps the wifi is not secure. If you are running third party anti virus you could try turning that off. Before altering other settings it may be worth trying to open your email at a different location on a different wifi provider first.
Perhaps you can check your emails on the webpage for your email company.
For once you don't know the answer?
:-/ There's a difference between common sense issues, and technical issues.

Maybe there's a server issue. Try again later ?

Thanks all.

I did think about the insecure WiFi as, when I tried to access another website I was presented with a warning to that effect.

I've run through the troubleshooter provided by Zacs. None of the strainghtforward solutions have worked and it's getting very involved, suggesting "Repairs" and reinstalling Office. I'm sure that can't be necessary as it was working perfectly at home. I've an idea it's something to do with the WiFi here but I shan't spend too much time on it as I'm only here for a week!

Thanks again for your help.
If you know your password download a different email app and set it up.
I use bluemail and it's quite good (better than Outlook)
