They all have a similar theme-all powerful, all knowing etc. Maybe what changes is our description for it? Most religions have very striking similarities if you examine them deeply. I guess it's a variation on a theme. Perhaps in the same way you have different colours and nationalities of people yet they are all recognisable as people, you have different types and natures of Gods, but it's still recognisable as God. The very fact we all have various descriptions for our God(s) yet all recognise what 'God(s)' is/are means that it exists?
The fact of the matter is know one know's whether there is a God or not. Thats why I'm agnostic or a realist if you like. Yes people talk of faith but when I ask some of my Christian friends if they would lend 100 to someone who turns up at their door, who they have never met before who promises to re-pay it, they all reply no. So I ask them where has their faith gone? how can you have faith in one thing and not another - surely this makes them a hypocrite. They don't seem to be able to answer as to why their faith is selective.
