Decree Nisi
I have received my decree nisi. There is also an order for cost which states the judge orders the respondent to pay the petitioners (me) costs, such costs to be agreed and if not agreed to be subject to detailed assessment by the court.
I'm confused does that mean I should get my costs paid by the respondent (husband). And will that just be for the decree nisi, and not include any costs I have accumulated for the financial agreement? This is also going to court. Thanks

in the rare of even of being awarded costs, I had a list with me.
If your husband was NOT represented, then ask for £1500, as this is half the average costs. If you spent more - then itemise them and ask for that
Costs which are direct - cost of the application, copying, stationery, per sheet, post reasonable costs travelling to and fro, you cant charge for your time, ( etc).
this is NOT a money maker
