After an absence of 7 years or so....
Last time was for minor assault on police officers.
Since then it all went down the pan this year.
My mental health declined and i ended up up in a phsychiatric hospital after trying to cut my hand off during a psychotic episode.
All I get told is 'Reduce your drinking'
No *** Shirlock. If I could do that I would.
Mental health services are nowhere to to be seen, despite that I am currently 'under' them.
No doubt that if I were to die then at least the coroners report would indicate that I was
'engaged' with them. I'm not.

Been messed about something stupid by the local drugs and alcohol team.
Passed from councilor to councilor, told to attend meetings that dont exist on the system, phone calls that dont recieve any reply, .

I give up.

Ive previously had several posts advsing me to pick fruit.
No disrespect but if i was capable of picking fruit for a living I would.

I have to agree with nailit - psychotic episodes and hallucinations are not much fun. I was lucky to not have done anything illegal or outrageous but living each day knowing that it could happen again is horrendous. Having met Nails in real life, I can assure you that he is not a 'bit of a prick'.
He is a kind and considerant person who has lost his way for the moment.
Why are you all fawning over somebody who clearly has criminal tendencies?

I don’t get it.

I don't have 'criminal tendencies'.
I have issues with a legal substance.
Question Author
Like some people have issues with food, smoking, porn or gambling!

Thanks Tills ;-)
Deskdiary, that's a little uncalled for. We are not fawning as you put it, but trying to lend a helping hand to someone who needs it!!

Deskdiary seems like a little unsettled.

Deskdiary obviously dosn't believe that people can go through psychotic episodes so just labels them as attention seekers!

Hope you never have to go through one mate!
I think that some people ought to walk a mile in the shoes of others before they judge.
Well said Barmaid - even putting their shoes on would be a huge wake up call for some people.
Thinking of you Nailedit - one day at a time - a cliche but worth considering x

Barmaid,
I once served some time in Walton Prison with a con who was a double murderer.
When I heard his story I wanted to weep.
He was a victim of a pedophile ring when he was a kid.
As an adult he found out where 2 of his abusers lived.
He tracked them down and killed them.
He got a life sentence.

Wheres the effing justice?

It can be easy to be judgemental and criticise those with serious mental health issues or addiction problems. Life is not simple and one day you may find yourself in need of help and support.
