Bacofoil Cling Film Dispenser

We were discussing this here a week or so ago. If you have one can you tell me what it is made of? I can't tell from the pictures or the description. Is it rigid plastic or just cardboard?

Plastic (but mine is years old)

You’ll get the refills cheaper from Home Bargains than Tesco.

Other brands can be uses, but depends on the size of the cardboard tube if it fits the prongs

Plastic, recently bought a new one on Amazon with 3 refills. Cuts the film like a dream, you only need to close the lid.

We've used Lidl's own-brand clingfilm as refills with just a little "adjustment".

I quite enjoy the battle with cling film, allows me to vent a bit, although to be honest I don’t use it much. I have a huge catering size roll of it from Costco which I’ve had for many years, the cardboard box is collapsing but the plastic teeth still work..ish!
Same with foil, I’ve just last week finished a gigantic Costco roll of it and look forward to starting the new one I’ve stored in the garage for the last three years (I though I was about to run out) without injuring myself.

Vagus, the problem I've had with the last three rolls is that one side doesn't unroll after very little use so I have to get the knife and try and get back to a full width sheet. Not always possible and very wasteful.

i've only just realised if you push in the ends of the boxes (cling film and foil )it comes out perfectly

We had one but it wouldn't fit in the kitchen drawer, and had to be kept on the worktop, so in the end we got rid of it. However, they are very good.
