Death Valley is, in my experience, bad enough at the best of times. I wonder what the emergency services think of it?

Stupidly irresponsible? I think so. Not balmy - just barmy!

People will do anything and everything to shock and awe others, a lot to do with social media, and to become somewhat famous in their eyes??
You only have to look at some of the videos on you tube, they have to score more likes, more so in the states, nutters.
With names like Death valley and Furnace creek its not going to be balmy is it.
Good TV programme recently "Into Death Valley" (My5) with Nick Knowles - certainly wouldn't want to go there. Bad enough here sitting out!
These morons would be of more use helping hard pressed fire fighters in the Med tackling wild fires if they want to experience serious heat.
Second thoughts. They are so dumb they would be more of an encumbrance than any use.
There's no real risk if they're in an air conditioned vehicle and are just outside for a couple of minutes to take a picture by the sign.
I seem to recall a film about Death Valley with Matt Damon and some other fella, they couldn't find their vehicle. That was scary enough (being lost) but with the heat I'd have no chance.
But I wouldn't be that foolish in the first place.
A couple of Mexican tourists are said to be on their way to the Mediterranean to help with firefighting.

Many not even bothering with a sun hat. Really stupid behaviour, running risk of heatstroke and even death.
Record high temperatures are no longer a joking matter. People do die in heatwaves

I suppose when it becomes unvisitable, the tourists will flock to go and get a selfie at the coldest place on earth.
