Night Poem From Khandro (Tue.)
21 Answers
SHE COMES NOT WHEN NOON IS ON THE ROSES
She comes not when Noon is on the roses--
Too bright is Day.
She comes not to the Soul till it reposes
From work and play.
But when Night is on the hills, and the great Voices
Roll in from Sea,
By starlight and by candlelight and dreamlight
She comes to me.

Kh... are you saying that words don't have to have a meaning other than inducing a mood? A bit like much modern music, starting with the muzak gimmick a while back?
Classical music can induce feelings, moods and emotions, but it contains mathematical complexities and subtleties which are not necessarily consciously appreciated by listeners, but which can make the music great. I happen to like that side of things. Such pieces can go on for a long time, and I find them more satisfying than a usually short word composition.
I'm drifting away from the poetry theme. I apologise.
As for the radish man, a lot of that eastern stuff was designed to put pretentiousness in its place.
