Have you seen strip lighting or perhaps you may have it under your kitchen cupboards?
How does it work?
Does it fit underneath cupboards with a sticky backing, does it stay on and what does it run off?
TIA

Are you talking about the LED strips?
On a reel
If you mean LED lighting yes they come on strip on a reel, affix with sticky back plastic. Some have a dimmer seithc too.

Whether or not hey stay stuck probably depends on the quality of the product you buy, as with other products.

Perhaps not on a reel, but probably in strips. I saw them on ebay or Amazon but it didn't really give enough info on them.
You can get battery powered or we have some that were put in by an electrician
If it is the reels then most come with an adhesive back already on them. You need to make sure the cupboard is clean and free of any grease so meths or something like it on the final clean.

You can also get clear plastic clips that straddle the strip and screw in. I always use some of these when installing for people.
Question Author
Having looked at it again, it looks like each strip is joined together with a lead and powered by USB, is that right?
Be careful of electrical items off ebay. OK if they are an approved item.

Thanks chelle, have to go out now but will have a read of that when I get back.
Those are for tv mood lights and connect to the tv usb to get the power. They work on 5v by the looks of things.

No good for kitchen lights.
Question Author
yes, that's what I want them for. I'm hoping to buy what is a fairly plain TV bench and I thought the strip would look good for that.
