Is there a name for the excessive use of brackets in written communication?
Is there a recognised therapy to ease transition back to normal?
Thanks.

It is always possible (or even probable (i.e. more likely than not)) that the sufferer (or patient) is quite happy (or content) to have this affliction (or disease (which some might call an ailment)) and has no need to worry (and might refuse (either verbally or in writing) and treatment at all. :-))))))))))
(erm...(I am not sure of that)).
a bracket is a parenthesis - - parenthesia?
parenthomania
treated by parentho therapy
repeated syllables ( reduplication) are not popular in the English mind and get melded ( yes melded dahling)
so dilatation is hardly ever seen - more dilation
the "the" in thesis is important (I put = tithymi) (*) and may drop out when put next to a "the" ( in English)
therapy - therapeuw ( Homeeric do service to the Gods)
You just did this to tease, innit? - different roots and meanings may not spare one.
(*) hey foo ! - aorist is ethyka - and you will notice in the MI verbs the present is... reduplicated. as in didwmi, histimi and tithymi

in the good old days of BODMAS, brackets were used sparingly
now, in computer program they are everywhere- for clarity of meaning.
There is even one parsing program that counts brackets as a test of whether it can be evaluated ( well formed formula)
Lady Caroline Lamb ( yeah the mad one) in Glenarvon 1822 uses dashes a lot in her breathless prose. I just said that
