Downloading games

Hi,

I want to download a few games from
http://thepiratebay.org
but i am unsure if this is safe to do so. Please can someone advise me if this is safe?

In many cases people will leave comments on the page stating if the file is flawed....virus-ridden etc

If in doubt dont download, or at least make sure you have decent anti-spyware

torrents arent illegal by definition its what they actually are that makes them illegal eg films or games.

Im my experience, if you download a reasonable amount of software (applications) from any torrent site then you will, at some stage, download a virus.

You must have good antivirus software that will alert you when a virus file tries to run (on-access scan). McAfee is a good one. It's up to you if you risk downloading this from a torrent site!!

Provided you keep this up to date then you should be okay.

According to McAfee Site advisor
the site was spyware free but they have only tested one download. So its probably safe to download from but run a spyware check afterwards.
