Really enjoying the re-runs of this classic series.

Trivia warning - Mike Pratt, who played Jeff Randal was an accomplished musician and composer.

With Lionel Bart, he composed the Tommy Steele hit 'The Little White Bull', and they received an Ivor Novello Award for it .

His son Guy is an accomplished bass guitarist, playing for Pink Floyd live for many years, and also for Roxy Music.

I've probably mentioned this before, but I love music trivia, so here it is (maybe!) again.

I HATE that song!

So, instead, let's have the other song that earned Mike Pratt an Ivor Novello award:
Mike Pratt was certainly in good company here:
Sorry to hijack but I saw an advert today for tickets to see The Manfreds and there was a photo of them including Paul Jones who hardly looks any different - looked it up and he is 81 now!
I liked it first time around. Enjoyed the reruns a short while ago. Became really peed off the way it is just being repeated and repeated and repeated on Great TV. Still, that's the standard of TV these days. No wonder there's a move towards streaming entertainment instead.
I never knew Mike Pratt was Guy Pratts father, he's married to the late Richards Wright's (Of Pink Floyd) daughter Gala.
Edwin Astley wrote the music to the show.Dont suppose he's related to Rick Astley!
Little White Bull wasn't awful at all. It featured in the film "Tommy the Toreador". I went to see that with all my mates and my sister, with her mates. When Tommy Steele sang Little White Bull in the film, everyone in the cinema was singing along. Happy days!
