By an odd coincidence with this thread, I today attended an establishment which refuse to take cash.

I have had this more than once with my card being declined and when I have contacted the bank they can see the card was declined but do not know why!

My cash withdrawal limit defaults at £1K #(Barclays Premier), I can amend it to £2K per day. My Nationwide current account gives another £500 per day

A cheque is not cash, certainly, so I'm puzzled as to why that was asked. It does, however, give you a stamped paper conterfoil, not just a hope for the number in an ethereal net server data representing your wealth, to show up correctly. And of course the main issue is about having freedom rather than monitoring & control by govenment and powerful organisations.

Public spending doesn't force anything to be taken from us. Options are great. Impositions that remove rights are not, no matter what the excuse is.

Move eh ? To which country ? Unless folk protest to stop this then it looks like it'll be imposed worldwide.
