I sometimes use Stork to spread on bread but my sister says thats gross as it should only be used for cooking. Who else uses it as an alternative to butter?

we used to use it at home when i was a kid,and no its not just for cooking its a margarine ,it dos'nt say just for cooking dose it?so why not its just a matter of getting it soft enough to spred tell your sister to try some.
my husband likes it as a spread. I think it's too greasy myself. You can buy it in tubs as a spread, so it must be a spread.

However we used to have it as a spread as children and Leslie Crowther was often to be seen on television extolling the fact "That you can't tell Stork from butter". Butter was a luxury.
I use it for cooking ,baking and so on but don't like it as a spread.
I prefer butter but needs must and I have to watch my weight so I have Flora !!
Years ago, my mother used to mix half stork & half butter. I hated 'bread & butter', that's maybe the reason why!!!!!
