I created a new will in June and it is under that Libre Writer thingmajig. I was able to view my passwords and groceries - but when I press Will - it is an empty page. Have I deleted it aaccidentally. Oh God I'll have to type it up again or can I find it elsewhere. Ta

I wouldn't worry about that - I came from a very poor family. 4 bros not a shilling between them and a daddy same.

I really don't give a sh))t about money - there are some people about who just adore money and more and more - I am very happy with what I have got and don't want more - that's the person I am.
Barmaid is a qualified legal person, JJ. You may be out of it when your 6 feet under but if you care at all about the people you want to inherit your estate then please make a proper will, otherwise you’ll be putting them through unnecessary heartache and stress at a time when they really don’t need it. We’re talking about £400 to £500 pounds to stop that happening

Zacs - please take it from me - they will be not under any stress at all - I do know my own family - now if they were bros ie immediate family - ok I would make a proper will but they are bits and bobs to me and I am bits and bobs to them.

If you own your home you have sufficient money to merit a properly drafted will.

I have a brother and he gets it all bar donations to charity.

What about your dog? Have you said what is to happen to him?

You clearly care about your Will since you have asked the question.

If you dont want to pay to have it done properly, would you like me to give it the once over to make sure it looks ok? I could post a throw away email address and you could blank out names etc.
Do you have what witnesses JJ? It’s important to have them sign your will otherwise anyone could have written and printed it.

Barmaid - I’m thinking of using Farewill.com as it’s promoted by a charity I support. They offer a free service via this charity, naturally I would leave them something. As far as you know is it legitimate?
I do not know anything about them, Maydup, but they look legit.

It is Free Wills Month in October for those interested who are over 55. https://freewillsmonth.org.uk/

By the way guys - like this post is about the Will - but sure I could end up in a home and the home will get the heap but at the mo - sister gets it all but after that - it will be up to her what happened.

I do thank you for all your help.
