And migration to the UK is at an all-time high. With 606,000 adding to the UK Population in 2022 . The highest number on record. And yet the Cons in their 2019 manifesto said they would ensure that numbers would come down. When migration then stood at 226.000. ....Always knew the Cons couldn't count.
PS Before anyone tells me I fully understand that Brexit was nothing at all to do with ....Migration..

No we don't need more immigration gromit. What we need are the millions on full time benefits to get be forced to get off their bone idle backsides and go out and get a job, any job or their benefits will be stopped and I don't care if they have kids or not. Those saying they can't work because they have mental health problems or anxiety is the biggest racket going at...

Stop trolling you pair.
Living in the past ,,, soooo sad !
Gully is being castigated for his negativity over Brexit by those who still have no comprehension of the disaster Brexit is for the UK.

In a recent article in inews, the writer (who voted leave) realised that Brexit has messed up his son’s future; he mentioned that he was managing cargo at his local airport, and up to 31 January 2020, they were processing 60,000 packages a day to Europe. On 1st February 2020 that figure had reduced to 2,000.

It is not just the loss of business to the cargo operator at his local airport, but those businesses who would otherwise be sending 58,000 packages of goods everyday to Europe who have lost out.

No amount of positive thinking can make the turd that Brexit is, work.
Unfortunately the inews article is behind a paywall, but for those with the money, it is here:-

From Barney Gaveney (the person who regrets voting to leave):

“My son currently doesn’t have a job, he struggled with college…”

From Gromit (of this Parish):

“We need more immigration.
There isn’t enough cheap labour to make our economy run smoothly.”

Er...er...
I feel sorry for those that lost in their vote. it's where we are try and cope like the rest of us.

Arksided It is very difficult for the Brexit voters to try and cope,
with the mistake they have made. Have to agree with you.
In the words of the Brexit anthem – as sung by Farage (abridged):-

‘When you’re suffering, well you know I’ll never be, I’ll never be the man who’s suffering with you.....

‘cos I would tell 500 lies and I would tell 500 more just to stoke up hate and xenophobic bile....

If you’re working, well you know there’s gonna be, there’s gonna be all sorts of low paid work for you. Because the migrant who does the work that you won’t do has been deported and there’re back in the EU.....
Dave50,
There are 1.3million people claiming unemployment benefit.
We have a workforce shortage because there has been a huge increase in people retiring early. They are not seeking work or claiming benefits until they are 67. There are now 3.5 million people retired from working.
//There are 1.3million people claiming unemployment benefit.//

You can forget the rest of your post as it's irrelevant. So long as there are 1.3m people claiming unemployment benefit (which, by implication, suggests they are seeking work) we don't need t import cheap labour.
