I'm the wrong side of 60 with shoulder length hair, which drives me crazy as I cannot style it myself, is there such a thing as an easy to manage/low maintenance short style/pixie cut, as I am very close to taking the plunge, but before I do, does anyone have any advice please.

Pixie cuts are very stylish but high maintenance as they need trimming all the time.
with a good bob you can pin it up and keep it glam.
Two of my friends have pixie cuts which suit them and the find easy to cope with, but they are good at blow drying hair, which I can't cope with. I have un unlayered bob which I just dry by brushing my hair upside down and then use a hot brush to turn the ends under a bit and count to ten - simples
My hair is thick and cut to just below the ears
i have a pixie cut.
Pros:
I never have to blow dry it, and wash and leave, no styling required either. cheap haircuts.
cons: it shows up all of my grey
i have to go to the hairdresser every 5 weeks or it drives me bonkers

Thanks for link moall for the tips that's just what I need bednobs, wash and go, and luckily I won't have to worry about greys because my once red hair has now turned white.
thinking a bit more about it, mine is probably a bit shorter than pixie, it's shorter than judi dench's cut (which i love)

That is the other thing trying, to find a good hairdresser for a decent cut.
