There's an obvious bad joke there...
I saw a clip on FB from the BBC archives. There was a crazy posh lady who had zillions of cats. She was paying £100 a week for cat food

Thanks for the posts.

If there's a bad joke to be thought of, Jim, I'm sure that you'll always will ;-)

I love the cartoon, Jno. My Chequers definitely has that attitude!

I remember that BBC archive video, Wolfie. It's featured here on AB at least once.

My friend who lives in Italy is very much a 'cat lady'. As well as looking after her own cats, she spends at least €3000 per year on cat food for a colony of street cats and probably just as much again (or, more likely, far more) on medications and veterinary treatment for them all.

I wonder if her husband survived.
Hmmmm, I love dats but that is a bit over the top - as even they have decided. I hope they can find good homes for most of them and perhaps just be left with a few, 30 or 40 maybe. Good to hear the cats are all being neutered, it should be compulsory unless it's a breeder.
*cats, should have proof read before posting once again.
Their poor neighbours :-(
bet it wreaks!
"Expensive living hell" - but they still do it - nice bit of virtue signalling there.

I wouldn't like to live next door - my vegetable patch wouldn't stand a chance and the lovely songbirds nesting in my hedges would be decimated.
Not necessarily. They spend a fortune on cat litter, food, and medical care...plus time with the cats.
Their home looks tidy...not as if the cats have taken over like in a hoarders house.
The lady I got my boy from started...and continues in a similar fashion. She became a registered charity and with the help of family and dozens of volunteers rehomes many cats and kittens every year...all spayed/neutered, wormed, flead...and given life saving treatment when necessary. Dedicated premises are the next step.
Canary...looking at the video, they have an outdoor catio attached to the house. That's as far as the cats will or can go.
Veg patches will be safe.
As will birds.
'Karen and Lauren say they're always chasing around after cats who love to chase mice and steal food'

They have 60 cats & still have mice !!
Hello my name is Chris and I am a kitaholic
Everybody. Hello Chris
I 'd like to tell you my story... It started on a cold wet night and I heard a sound outside... I went to the door, and there was a little tabby, staring up at me.... I thought I could just keep her overnight..... You know, just to try .... The rest is history..... After a while one just wasn't enough....
Much as I love cats (I have my own beautiful rescue) I can’t imagine living with 70 of them. I don’t think those cats would be happy having to compete for space and attention.

Khandro @10:55...they said mice get in occasionally...so the cats catch them.
I like cars but couldn't have that many!
Respect to these wonderful women.
They are the cat's wiskers!..
Cats!! :-))
