She’s an amazing person, still does her own shopping , still lives in her bungalow she bought 50 years ago , sadly she’s becoming very forgetful now so I bought some Bea flowers to take for her, she’s not aware I lost my granddaughter almost a year ago on September 16th ( our anniversary) , I won’t be telling her either, it’s not necessary, I just had this overwhelming sense of urgency to go and see her.
Wot a coincidence, my Scottish aunt was 91 in May! Still bright as a button on the phone, has a very busy life, seeing all her extended family, she also does her own shopping!
How lovely Bobbie to be seeing your sister today - I do hope you both have a happy day together.
I too am 91 and live on my own but am.lucky enough to have a loving family fairly near. I am mainly contented with my own company and get a lot of pleasure from the AB community - ups and downs - like any family life !
The only thing which bothers me is that I am losing confidence about going out. I am blind in one eye and my balance is a problem so that adds to the isolation.
But on the whole i consider myself very lucky.
Have a lovely day Bobbie x
Morning, Bobbi. It's probably not a bad idea to go and see her. Let's face, at that age you've only got limited time left. Having said that my Nan will be 97 in October and she's still climbing up stepladders cleaning her house - she won't be told not to!
Rosie that’s a lovely cheerful post , I wish you well x
Lcg, glad to see you’re back safely after your holiday in Turkey, I hope lots of memories were made there, yes, that’s what I feel regarding seeing her, we go away on Friday for two weeks to Mijas , it’ll be nice just popping in to see her before then x
