Just heard Jet2 are cancelling holiday even when people turn up for their flight, ours is flight only at 07-10 this Friday ,
You cannot claim against the airline as it’s not their fault , I will check our travel insurance as I’m sure we’re covered on that , hope so
i think the disruption will last for a while yet - even if they have solved the original problem, there are a lot of staff and equipment in the wrong place ATM.
I thnk all you can do is to check with your airline and keep your fingers crossed.
Saw Simon Calder on TV this morning and he seems to think most flights will be back to normal by Thursday so here's hoping you will be lucky Bobbi. How about a flight with these.
If you don't you might be blaming the Frogs. The Latest scuttlebut is that a French airline filed a dodgy flight plan that disrupted the ATC causing manual input hence the delays. Obviously the CAA are investigating but say it was not a cyber attack.
We are flying tomorrow with Jet2, flight only, I've received a text stating they are planning to operate the flight and to arrive at the airport as normal. If anything changes they will be in contact again. Fingers crossed all goes to plan.
Ridiculous blaming the data input. When I ran an IT QA unit I would have been fired if I had allowed software which couldn't handle duff data to go live. With such dodgy software in ATC, I'm glad I never fly.
