Germany invaded Poland, effectively starting WWII. Though it really became inevitable from around 1933 by the inaction of the west. Britain and France were infected with a Liberal pacifist desire for peace but as we all know if you want peace you must prepare for war. Along with religion Pacifism is another primary cause of war.

How strange ... minority views were of no significance back when, and are even referenced now to dismiss stupidity or Ostrich like attitudes that were spawned by a mind set that looked for anything but the truth if it required effort. Now of course, minority views and attitudes have to take precedence over common sense or we are all beastly Nazis.
