At around midnight on Halloween, i will spend a few minutes standing on my doorstep, looking toward Pendle Hill in the hope of seeing one of the witches 'road-testing' her broom:-)
Remember holidaying in Vancouver at Hallowe'en ... mainly adults going about in the evening in pubs, on streets, etc. wearing beautiful costumes ... they seemed to celebrate the occasion.
Have not been to anything special here. Not many kids about either though local shops and supermarkets stocking all things Hallowe'en.
We didn't feel the need to mark Halloween too much. We have a better celebration for that time of year, slinging effigies of RC terrorists on a bonfire and the setting off gunpowder filled entertainment.
A costume and a party-piece was the order of the day and the lantern was carved from a turnip, not that tasteless interloper the pumpkin.
Threats were never made.
