Some of the houses in this link are totally nuts, some probably have illegal features.

My first flat was tiny (you could fit it into my living room in this flat) but things were where they should have been. But I viewed a flat where you had to step over the toilet to get into the shower.
many thx
Tell you what, wolfie - they enhance the make-overs of our dear own Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen to near genius level!

Choux, he has a high opinion of his own talents. Its all too girly for me.

I can't imagine why anyone would have a toilet in a kitchen or front hall

Pasta, the last one that I looked at on your link was cluttered with 'stuff' and had unmade beds. Even I would tidy up for such an important photo. Scary stuff!!

Some of the modern houses are soul-less.

Have you been following the Omaze draws? Some of the houses look great but the owners have been unable to sell them and usually for a good reason.

I think that the one in Cornwall is due to fall off a cliff soon.

I just saw the headline for the Cornwall property. I've read that the houses are donated as they've not sold. I don't know how true that is.
I love looking at property listings and imagining how people live in some of them.
I have a different opinion of LLB since his Changing Room days (thank goodness) :). As far as his contributions go on DIY SOS he has shown great understanding and sensitivity as far as the subjects' physical and mental needs are concerned. Have just watched a re-run of one such programme where he did an excellent job of re-designing a house for a 17 yr old girl who can now leave hospital and lead a far more rounded life at home. Great effort was made to accommodate her medical needs, including piping oxygen to all the rooms, a hoist and even space wide enough in the front garden to allow for ambulance attendance with room to turn round! Bespoke wallpaper, totally bonkers and OTT with which the girl was absolutely delighted.
