A New Scam To Be Aware Of....
4 Answers
Good Morning,
I was informed yesterday by a policeman of a new scam targeting elderly people - especially those that live in a 'elderly town' - you know the places seaside towns that attract retirees.
They pretend to be policemen asking for money for various charities etc - its been very succesful and one to make your elder friend aware off.

An elderly person (it's always an 'elderly person') is telephoned by someone who says that the person's child has been injured in a road accident, and needs money to pay for medical care. A medical representative will call at the elderly person's address soon to collect the money. It's remarkable how many people fall for this scam. The scam has variations, of course, but the basics are always the same.
