Prior to the winter are we having a covid injection? So far I have had four, the last one being September 2022. If the answer is yes, does one have to book it independently or wait until contacted by GP surgery? I must admit I am getting rather confused as it seems to be an emphasis on shingles vaccination presently. Thanks for any clarification.

You may be, I won't.

Doc's surgery has already texted to say I must book up a vaccination appointment; they must know by now I'm not interested.

Thank you for the link, am now clearer. I shall be having it as I have lost several people to covid, several of whom refused the injection.
Likewise spare a thought for the thousands who have died or been maimed as a result of having the injection
Thousands, Mrs cheese, really??
As sorry as I am for those who’ve had a bad reaction to the jab, there are many, many, many more lives saved by having it.
Ridiculous. The lies about the Covid vaccine are a disgrace and need to be challenged every time they are repeated
I too think the vaccine has saved many lives - countless lives actually - and I’m extremely grateful for it. However, I have a severe reaction to it and had to sign a ‘disclaimer’ after the first for each subsequent dose. Having succumbed to Covid last Christmas and been quite poorly I concluded that the disease has no more adverse effect upon me than the vaccine. I lived to tell the tale so will take my chances in future. I won’t be having it again.
Erm........... we also shan't be having it. OH had a horrible reaction (yellow-carded) and I had the worst head-pain ever. I also know 2 people who had mini-strokes after it (and they weren't obvious stroke candidates). We keep saying 'No', but they keep asking.
A friend currently has Covid - she is not a well woman anyway (allergies etc) and is fairly poorly, but will survive.

To answer your question - you wait until contacted by your GP surgery.
Shingles is an individual decision and you need to wait until you are 70, unless your surgery says otherwise (I strongly advise you to have the Shingles vaccination).
'Flu is a yearly jab and I always have it - have done since I was 40 because, as a teacher with a bad chest infection record, I was allowed it earlier.
