I Have Had Better Days ;)

Yesterday was one of those days you would be happy to forget about and it was with relief taht I settled down for the night. Couldn't get to sleep so started watching tv. Found some things I really enjoyed, culminating with a stellar cast in The Dolls House (04:00 - 05:50)!

After that I fell asleep. The phone woke me at 07:30 - 'twas my neighbour asking if I could clear our cars from the drive as the gardener was coming to treat the new fence that separates our properties. Hmmm. As my neighbour has recently been widowed I duly obliged but when I met him outside I did point out it was a bit early.

Just had a delivery from Amazon and the driver rang the bell, waited and pointed out some damage to the parcel so would I please check it. I thought that was great, never happened to me before. The damage was slight and there was a minor loss of content so I accepted the parcel willingly. The driver gave me a look and asked was I sure. Yes, I replied. His face then broke into a wonderful smile. Life really is too short for angst :)

after a sleepless night, remember as a registrar told me ( with norovirus) everyone sleeps between 0500-0700 - just go to a flat surface, make sure it is dark, and lie on it

Finding out from the cleaner's work that I have far far far too much stuff.  

Just had a bath with great trepidation with broken toes but some time ago I bought a big big square of good foam.   So I fill the bath up and put the foam in and then I can get in using the foam for a bit of support.  I needed it for my joint pain.  

I do throw out as much as I can but it seems to pile up.  I am cleaning up after the cleaner

 

Also far too much cleaning stuff so it is going too.

A bath can do wonders especially with a drink in hand, candlelight and mellow music. Did you find your cable.🛀🕯️🎼

jj, well done on the bath, I bet you felt better for that. A clear out of what you don't use or use could be a good idea. 

Peter, sorry for delay, I am now in my admin role for sorting out all papers on OH's medical matters. I knew the play was set in Norway, endish of 19th century - looked it up, 1879. Wiki has a very good synopsis actually, though I won't put up (yet another) duff link. The cast was Claire Bloom (still with us at 92 yrs), Anthony Hopkins, Denholm Elliott, Anna Massey, Edith (A Handbag) Evans and Ralph Richardson. 

Quite fascinated that Ibsen had to write an alternative ending for the German audience.

jj, I should proofread! Meant to say ...what you don't use or need. Old age is wonderful ;)
