Apparently there are 3 million pet snakes in the UK - all no doubt yearning to escape and come along and wrap themselves round you and/or bite you.

I really don't like snakes, scared of them probably. I had a friend who lived abroad  and one day there was one curled up in the bottom of the toilet.    I don't know what I would have done.  Probably run a mile
