I found it quite acidic Patsy , mind you it was a dry white wine, I might try a sweeter one next time

Yes, they can be very acidic, especially the dry. The sweet one is much less acidic.

This posh southie is currently cooking roast pork joints, roast tatties, cauliflour cheese and French beans with gravy. We don't normally eat a Sunday roast on a weekday but entertaining guests who are leaving us tomorrow for Cornwall. The Last Supper so to speak. Cheese and bicks after for me with red plonk. Am guzzling Chardonnay to help me cook at the moment.

We eat our 'dinner' around 7pm. Whatcha mean you don like Salmon or cauliflower cheese!!!!

I love them both, mine is homemade with oodles of cheese.

We heathens in the Norf have ours around 5-30

spatchcock poussin here, well peppered and marinated - with roasted Cornish new and a selection of roasted veg as in chicory, carrots and cauli, a little asparagus and green beans to be added halfway through the cooking.

I may not now cook him anything.  I was just involved with a very difficult phone call and was sitting at my laptop with my headset on in very deep conversation of a delicate legal matter when he walked in behind me and pressed a freezing cold cucumber to my neck.  Of course, I jumped, waved my arms, knocked my headset loose and he trots away sniggering as I try and recover my composure.

Don't like asparagus DT🤪

more like a spent razor-blade sarnie.....

I love asparagus - my major dislike is broad beans as they used to serve them in three forms at school and even with the opening day they were overcooked. Young ones lightly steamed and sautéed off in a little butter are okay.

Cauliflower cheese to use up cauli - like a hard boiled egg with it along with some home cooked gammon.

Bobbi I'd never heard of SlimmimgWorlds' Pizza Chicken but can honestly say it were delicious.

kebabs!  as it's diet club night

Mine also Arky, the curry had a little kick in it

I unexpectedly picked up some sea bass fillets in Sainsbury's...not sure what I'm having with them. Maybe creamed spinach or cauli cheese.
