My hamster, dopey, has been seeking attention all day long, squeaking from his cage and waving his paws at me and intentionally dropping maltesers from his cage, just so I can sit by his cage and watch him eat, nap or jog on his hamster wheel.... which is not the most exciting thing ever to do during the day.
I've given him plenty of toys and contraptions so he's busy and amused most of the day but he still squeaks for my attention and wants a little cuddle every now and then. I don't mind this but lately he's been demanding more than the usual amount of cuddles and attention .... for no good reason. Can anyone explain his unusual behavior? Do I need to change his diet or buy him more toys to keep him from geting bored? What do I do? Plz help.

I may rename him 'squeaky' if he continues being attention seeking all day and night....
However, he's cute so I'll put up with him for now.... any ideas in the meantime would be very helpful, so keep our thinking caps on plz. thxxx

I getting a bit concerned about all th hamsters at the minute that keep dropping maltesers

Sorry cannot help tho
try re-organizing his cage, we got a small log and hide treats in it which kept mrs doyle amused for hours, and tied treats on string in her cage
My cat will come round and kepp him amused, if you like?
well...i really dont think that giving it malteasers will do him any favours! he might be getting too many E numbers lol
