Hooray! I've seen the light!

Hello everyone. Just wanted to say that I have seen the light when it comes to looking for a girlfriend.
Regular ABers will recognise my woeful posts e.g should I chase this girl? etc. The truth is, having moved to a new city, I though the way to happiness was to find a girlfriend - but it isn't! The fact is, if I had found a girlfriend, I would have started to live her life. So. as the realisation has dawned on me, I am working to make myself happy. Have started a new hobby, indoor rock climbing and am generally keeping myself busy.
This might all sound obvious, but I have really seen the light and am much happier!

cool - i am beginning to think the same thing myself. i guess if it is going to happen (find a guy that is) then it will - no point in getting down about it all :-)

ha ha what is distance? mmm i could do with a date - well more a drink and a hug in a quiet pub. i am not sure how old you are but when you get to your 30s and (have a sister who is younger married with kids) you feel like a complete failure. I can�t even find a decent friend let alone a boyfriend lol x

I'm 31 so I know what you're saying! Have just been to a family wedding where someone asked my mum "when is James getting married?" to which she replied "He hasn't even got a girlfriend!"...thanks a lot.

Awww well hun you sound like a really sweet bloke (gut feeling) so I am pretty sure you will find someone sooner or later. I know the feeling though � last year on the family Christmas card it was all about my Sister and with me it just said � oh and ? hasn�t left home yet � my only mention.

When my Sister got married my neighbour asked me when it was my turn and I said I hadn�t met anyone � she looked at me with the �is she straight look�.
