This is getting worse. It was bad enough when, on the tablet at least, it used to regularly (apparently because it didn't like previous refusals to allow non-necessary cookies) to ask for cookies to be allowed yet again. It wouldn't accept, '"No" for an answer. And when told again still, "No" it would delight in logging one out unrequested. But now it's gone one worse. Whilst I can still endure that previous experience on a PC, apparently on the tablet, selecting other options doesn't bother to change anything, save the colour of the 'other options' button, and it just sticks there on the screen denying any further interaction with the site. Forcing the tablet to show the PC site changes nothing. This needs sorting. If I can't access via the tablet my attempts to visit here will be mostly prevented by the flawed software you now have.

I've just tried clicking the 'More Options' button in Firefox on a Windows 7 PC. As you say, O_G, it doesn't do anything.

The change seems to have since last night when I could get to a list of all the companies that supply ads to AB, together with an invitation to expand each entry to see the purposes which they used information for - which also didn't work!

Many websites make it a condition of accessing the site that users agree to accept cookies and there's absolutely no reason why AB shouldn't simply join them. However it seems a bit naughty of them when they try to pretend that there's an alternative available!
Interetingly, the latest problem seems to have come about as a result of fixing one that I previously reported:
https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Editors-Blog/Question1709369.html

Up until a few hours ago I was seeing TWO privacy notices every time I opened a new tab. That now seems to have been replaced by the single message (with the duff 'More Options' link) that you've been seeing.
PS: The privacy notice now seems to appear whenever a new post has just been submitted, as well as whenever a new AB tab is opened. That wasn't happening up until now.
Thank you for flagging this. The cookie banner is supplied by a third party and I know it's causing some issues - I have attempted to get it sorted but it obviously isn't resolved so I will keep working on it.

Cheers. As mentioned, can only get on, on the PC. Since most visits are from the sofa via a tablet, it prevents me navigating here, reading or contributing.
I posted this on another thread, will repeat it here -

Ed - I hope posting this is ok...

Download the add-on called "I don't care about cookies" -

Firefox - https://tinyurl.com/ydes5az8
Chrome - https://tinyurl.com/jr9crkj
Edge - https://tinyurl.com/y9fzw72d

You shouldn't get the message again - I don't, in any of those ^ browsers.
^^^ As I understand it, Lie-in King, O-G's problem is that he DOES care about cookies and he wants to be able to take some control over them.
True, however on this open forum many may be viewing this question and the information may be useful to them.

It is to me.
I hope I haven't spoken too soon but I haven't had this blue box on my laptop for over two years.
This should now be resolved - please let me know if you continue to have problems.

Difficult to tell. Pressed button, something came up then immediately went again. How do I check what it "thinks" I've allowed and rejected, and how do I edit/update if desired ?
