We have numerous compost heaps and bins all for different types of compost he makes which is all used on our garden and small plot of land. Which is why I'm looking at a proper compost aerator . But what a boring present!!.
No one delivers food to where we live Bednobs. Except Tescos, etc.
I am thinking the aerator and yet another book.
We can't go out because of my situation health wise. He does all the cooking so I can't cook him the special steak dinner he loves.
He might like this, but he's not getting it!!

Since you kindly asked I will bore you with the details Lottie. Determined to get some sleep after nil for the last 2 mights I took 3 Melatonin at 9.30pm last night and went to bed at 11.30pm. Still awake at 4am I took 3 more M's. Must have fallen asleep about 6.30-8.30am. So I'm cream crackered. Yesterday afternoon after dog walker had taken mutt out I thought I should go and get my Covid jab. Quickly got dressed, picked up keys and walking stick. Made it to my car and guess what, key doesn't fit, got the wrong key. Scream. Go back to flat, try to put key in door, won't go in, scream again as now locked out of flat and car. Daughter has a key she's at work miles away, dog walker has key but she won't be back for a couple of hours. Eventually remember a neighbour has a key to my daughter's flat so he can let her dog out and there is also a key to my flat in D's flat. So buzzed neighbour and he let me into my flat. Great but too late to go for my jab as they are now closed.
Wish you hadn't asked Lottie?

I feel your pain.. After a cancellation I eventually attended, yesterday afternoon, the endoscopy clinic for a long awaited colonoscopy with dilation and stent. At 1pm I was cannulated and gowned up. I lay on a bed in recovery watching patients coming and going. At one stage a patient reacted to the sedation and an emergency was called .My bedspace was curtained off whilst medics worked on the patient and eventually transferred her to an emergency admission ward. At 6.45pm, as it was a little quieter and no one was occupied with the emergency I opened the curtains around my bed. Two nurses looked like startled rabbits in the headlights and enquired, 'Have you had your procedure?" I replied, "No I haven't and I'm still waiting." They scuttled off and a red faced sister arrived. "I'm sorry we will have to cancel your op. The doctors have gone home now" I hadn't eaten since 11pm the previous day and not had liquid since !!am on the day. Ihad taken their ruddy Picolax bowel prep as well. The scandal of it all was that no member of staff knew or cared that there was still a patient ,me, waiting to be attended. Outrageous neglect and lack of care by our wonderful NHS. This was the third occasion I have had a cancellation of a procudure at the final hour.
Ladybirder. I'm so sorry. I was so excited about the worms I completely missed your post. I am going to have nap now then come back and will be in touch. I feel like sh-- at the moment so need the sleep. Retro I'm due to have a similar procedure ,but can't go through with it until I'm more more physically mobile. I feel for you. X
Yes LB. As I was supposed to have sedation I didn't take my car to the hospital. My wife was on standby to pick me up which ultimately was unnecessary. Unfortunately, for them, my wife worked in the endoscopy unit for 10 years in a neighbouring hospital. She laid into them all guns firing and told them under no account would any patient be cancelled and the staff at the unit including doctors leave the unit without completing the days list. She also told them that patients who had taken the Picolax or Moviprep bowel prep took priority other all other procedures. After loads of red faces, including mine, they couldn't give us Pals booklets and forms quick enough. The upshot was a phone call earlier on to attend the unit and pick up more bowel prep and give me an a.m. appointment on Tuesday. I was assured I had been shown 1st on the list at 0830.
Retro - Lucky you with such a brilliant wife but of course there shouldn't have been any need for her to intervene. Looking forward to hearing you have been sorted next week. Fingers crossed.
Lottie I think we are going to carry on missing each other as like you I'm going to bed at odd times to others. No sleep last night and visitors in and out all day so no chance to try and catch up on any. I've just had a few sips of wine for the first time this year and I'm hoping that will help me to have a good night's rest. Night night. xx
