I wasn't expecting her murder because I have never heard of her.

On reading her wikipedia page she sounds a very unlikely candidate for a antisemitic murder. She worked a lot to bring Jewish and Muslim people in her community together.

At the moment there is no evidence that the motive for her murder was anything to do with what is happening in Israel/Gaza. No evidence of antisemitism or her politics.

Better to wait for facts of the incident to be revealed before jumping to a conclusion.

There's a suggestion that comments made by Rashida Tlaib, a democratic politician (the only Palestinian member of congress) blaming Israel for a the strike on a Gaza hospital, might have been the catalyst for the murder.

Yes I recall that post from Gromit roy. Nothing appears to have changed.

I remember it too. Jewish communities set up their own 'security' in London and asked everyone if they had experienced antisemitism in the last year.

Surprisingly everyone they asked said yes and they reported antisemitism had increased 1000% (or some other ridiculous number).

It hadn't increased at all, just the number of reported incidents had increased.

Shone in and the Community Security Trust were present in Jewish areas because they had lost confidence in the Met.

Antisemitism was probably under reported by the Met, but grossly over reported by CST and Shomrin.

I suspect there will be a big increase in antisemitism this month.
