registering a caution on my home
1 Answers
i have been married for 33 years, and am now seeking a divorce from my husband. the house we are living in is registered in my name name, and the deeds reflect this. i have also paid the mortgauge from my account along with the household bills, as he has been self employed and does not earn regular money, in fact any financial contibution that has been made by him in the last few years has recently dwindelled to nothing.
he has now decided that as we have been offered the full asking price on the property to seek legal advice, and his solicitor has stated that if i do not agree to putting the house on the market with another agent for more then he will not agree to the sale, and they will register a caution against my home on the basis that i am the legal sole owner of the property.
can i still sell the home, and what impact will this now have on the current offer on my home
