Bbc Quiz : Week 44
Hello again!
Only seven-and-a-bit weeks to the big C-word now! Doesn’t time go by quickly these days?
I started off with a mediocre THREE out of seven in the main quiz this week:
https:/
. . . which I followed with a middling THREE out of five in the junior quiz:
https:/
So plenty of scope there for you all to beat me easily, I feel!
Your turn!

I hope that Puss Puss and Bailey are getting plenty of treats by way of an apology from you for making fuss of Norman and Magic!
My lot aren't too impressed with the weather either. They're making it extremely clear that they think it's about time I turned some heating on in this house! (They'll probably get their way fairly soon. It was Bonfire Night when I turned a little bit of heating on for the first time last autumn).
We're all well thanks, as I hope that you all are too.
Good morning, definitely not my week, guessing right off course. Two for the main quiz, like you, three for the kids. Found the BBC quiz while I was pootling about, it was last weeks and I still didn't get them all right. Hope your kitties aren't bothered by the fireworks. We keep ours in but they don't flick a whisker, it's me that hates them!
Thanks for allowing me to beat you this week, Roo ;-)
(I very much doubt that I could score full marks on last week's quiz either!)
Thanks also for reminding me about the fireworks. I've toyed with the idea of going to the big public display in Ipswich tonight (with over £20k of fireworks) but I think that I'll probably give it a miss and stay here to reassure my lot if there are any loud bangs nearby. (I used to love the Ipswich display but it's over a tenner to get in, and parking will be a nightmare, so I doubt that I'll bother with it this year. I must be getting old!)
We used to have a big display around here (which did scare the cats, because it was so close) but new houses have been built alongside the park where it took place, meaning that it's no longer deemed safe to hold it. So my lot will hopefully not be too bothered tonight (or tomorrow night).
All the best to you and your feline friends.
Hi Buenchico,
Bit late this week, been visiting son at his new house which is a gorgeous little cottage in the depths of Ceredigion. It has no central heating yet thanks to BG so we went to the pub to get warm and watch the rugby. Fortunately he has a lovely woodburner which can heat the whole house.
We've had lots of rain and at one point had to pump out water that was starting to rise at the back of the house (my house that is} but it's gone now.
Shady , as usual , pretended not to have missed me
Hope your three don't get spooked by fireworks tonight and pleased to the news from your consultant :-)
Hi, Haras2!
While your quiz scores are by far the least important bits of your lovely posts, I will point out that you've forgotten to mention them this week! (They weren't that bad, were they? 😊 ).
I see that you managed to find an excuse to go to the pub. Well done!
I hope that everything is startin to dry out in your area now. We had the usual road closures for flooding, which we seem to get after even a very small amount of rain here, but nothing too much to worry about really.
The Troublesome Trio used to get scared by the big public firework display in our little town each year but that no longer takes place. So there are just a few private displays, which don't seem to bother them very much at all, thankfully.
I hope that you and Shady will have a lovely week!
