Fake Uber Account With My Name
14 Answers
It seems that somebody created an Uber account using my email and phone...I've got some confirmation codes both on my phone and Gmail, but I never use Uber. This is very strange and I don't know why somebody would want that. Maybe someone had an issue like that?

They may have made a mistake and thus you are getting their emails.
It happened to me - my gmail doesn’t have numbers, but somebody else does. She created a Facebook account and signed up for a conference - but forgot the numbers, hence I got the emails.
A simple forgotten password request let me in to close the Facebook account, and an email to the conference venue to let them know - person and venue were in America!
