Can L Type A Letter From My Ipad?

I have a 5th Generation iPad mini, version 16.6.1.  Can I type letters on it?  When I try to print something in Notes the font is much too large.  Thanks all.

>Settings>Accessibility>Display Text & Size>Larger Text>then adjust slider at bottom

Apple's default word processing app is Pages.  So that's what you should be using:

You should be able to, when you select print there is an option to set the scale of the printed output, mine defaults to 100% and comes out the size I want. You could experiment with it to get the size you require.
