If you vote for scumbags to abuse you and your fellow citizens, that's what you get. That stated, there is no excuse to have second homes out of line with empty properties. Or for that matter out of line with first homes either. Dregs of society demanding wealth from some citizens without any valid justification whatsoever for doing so, should be illegal, as it's no different to robbery.

Usually the owners of second homes are quite well off,so can afford any increase in taxes.The majority up here in Scotland can barely afford one home,never mind two.
